About the Author
Percy Strong
Percy Strong’s family lived in Gander, NL from 1937–2005. HIs father was among the first radio operators to work at Newfoundland (Gander) Airport. Family stories of life on the airport during and after World War II provided the seed for this novel. Today the old townsite has largely been reclaimed. It is the author’s intention to introduce the landmarks of old Gander and spin a tale of espionage that might have happened.
Percy was born in Gander. He attended Gander Academy and Gander Collegiate. He has a BSc., Geology, from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and a MSc., Geology, from McMaster University. He is a retired petroleum geologist living with his wife in Canmore, Alberta. He enjoys the outdoors where he pursues his passions for hiking, snowshoeing and rockhounding.
